A hero asset for Illenium's latest tour. The concept is the Ashes Tree, an ever burning tree. I was given a very open brief to have some sci fi stuff extracting its magic. It was a journey converting a speed tree model's leaves to points in Houdini and instancing them with the correct orientations and animations. It was my first time doing pyro sparks as well, a challenging but intensely interesting project.
